Hi Shar- Thanks for your post. So you have an anniversary, of sort. One year with PMR- hope it will be of the short variety and you will soon be pain and prednisone free. My rheumatologist (today) increased my prednisone back up to 10 mg., since my sedrate went up to 31 from 21. I have had more pain and fatigue on the 6 mg., after the flare in Sept. He wants me to stay on the 10 mg. until Jan. 1, then start the taper again. However, he will see me at the end of Jan., and said he might put me on 7.5 mg. of prednisone at that time. You asked about where my pain is- most of it is in the lower back and thighs. Sometimes I feel like I have a toothache from my neck down- especially in the morning. To me, the fatigue is worse. I am hoping for more energy on the 10 mg. of prednisone. I take prednisone; Actonel and Tums for bones; vitamin D to help absorb the calcium and Lipitor for high cholesterol caused by the prednisone. I only work one day a week, down from a full schedule. I suppose it could be a lot worse, considering all the diseases out there. Hope you continue to improve. Let me know how you are doing. Ida
