Hi Shar-It is great to hear from you, but I am sorry to hear about your relapse. Being on the "teens" of Prednisone seem to help best. I wish we could stay on the higher dose just a bit longer, but I know the side effects are not worth it. Right now I am on 7/6 mg of Prednisone, and although I still feel the aches, sometimes have a good day with little pain and more energy. It seems to be variable. (I'm waiting for 5 mg to see what happens.) And for the first time in 6 years, I have not been awakened every night by pain. I think I still have PMR and as for Lymes, my doctor ordered two special tests, and I will get the results later next week. I agree about the cholesterol- mine is also high and I am on Lipitor. Are you feeling better now that you are on a higher dose of Prednisone? It sounds like you have a very caring doctor. What dose of Prednisone are you taking now? How did your bone scan turn out? Prednisone leeches the calcium out of the bones- another side effect. I take Actenol, Vit. D and Tums. I hope by the time you receive this that you are feeling better. I am looking forward to hearing from you, and especially hope that you feel better. Best wishes, Ida
