Hi Ida, It's great to hear that you are doing well with your Prednisone taper! I think I'll try your method. My rheumatologist put me on Forteo, a daily injectible, but I have had side effects, so I stopped it. I plan to call him about it next week, so he can put me on Actenol, which was the back up plan. It's encouraging to hear that you haven't had side effects. I'm sorry your doctor retired. I fear that kind of thing too. My rheumatologist has talked about quitting next year. He will be 60. I dread losing him. He has been great! What could you have if it isn't PMR or Lymes? Do you have swelling in several joints? Whatever it is, I hope it gets better for you soon.
