Hi Ida, It's good to hear from you! I saw my rheumatologist this week, and my sed rate is normal at 7, even lower than last time. It seems to me, that it doesn't reflect the complete picture, since my pain has increased a bit. At the time of my last blood test, my sed rate was 9, and I didn't have any pain then. Go figure! My doc plans on having me drop the Prednisone to 5 mg next month. He said that in a year, he would like to see if the PMR has left. I see my internist at the end of this month. It will be interesting to see what she has to recommend. I suppose my cholesterol has gone up, too. I've gained about 10 lbs, since starting Prednisone, and I exercise regularly. My rheumy said weight gain from Prednisone isn't in my control, and it should plateau out at this level, and not to worry. What choice do we have, if we want to function, we have to take Prednisone! Good luck to you! I hope you feel better soon! Thanks so much for posting, Ida, and please post again, soon! Shar
