Hi Ida, It's good to hear from you. It's a tough battle trying to taper the Prednisone. I know how you feel. At least you are gradually getting it down. I am also on 13mg at this time. My tests came out good. I am thankful for that, but my breathing is still somewhat labored with mild exercise. I hope my doctor can figure out what needs to be done. Last visit with him, he thought it was my excess weight causing the problem. I am trying to lose weight, but both my doctors have said that it is almost impossible while on Prednisone, especially at the doses I am on. I have been on Prednisone for a little over 4 years now. I never thought that it would be like this. Now I wonder if I'll ever be able to get off of it. Oh well. I have had a number of side effects from it, too. My blood pressure went up and my cholesterol hit the sky! I am on meds for both. Like you, I have to watch for glaucoma, too. If we need eye drops, Ida, I guess it won't be too bad. I have been told that it is easy to treat glaucoma with the drops. I hope so, anyway. I have an eye exam coming up next week. Is there a test they can give you, Ida, to be sure you have Lyme Disease? It seems that it is hard to diagnose, huh? Your doctor feels that you still have PMR, right? Hopefully, it will soon clear up for you. I have RA and maybe PMR too. My rheumatologist said it is hard to tell at this point, if the PMR is still with me, but the RA he is quite sure about. That is why I am on so many medicines. I'm on Enbrel, MTX, Mobic, and Prednisone, to name a few. Yikes! I don't know why this message board no longer notifies me of a post. Are you having that problem too? Be well, Ida. Let me know how your eye appointment goes. Shar
