I am a Speech-Language Pathologist and feel that if you are still questioning his diagnosis of apraxia/dyspraxia then your best bet would be to get a second opinion. However by your description it sounds like this term is appropriate but it is difficult to be certain since I haven't seen your son in person. On the average most dr.s especially if they are general practitioners are not comfortable in discussing the term apraxia/dyspraxia. I also work with autistic children -if you need reference material please let me know. Speech therapy is critical especially at your son's age. Good luck!-Colleen
