I don't know where you live, but if you are near a university that has a speach and language department, perhaps they can evaluate your son. My son, who is now 33 years old (Naval Academy graduate working in the computer industry) had speach problems associated with a short frenum, large tonsils, mouth breather, allergies, etc. He had problems producing a lot of sounds from the time he began to speak. He was evaluated at Northwestern when he was six and continued in speach therapy for about 3 years. I know every case is different, but at a university you will find a lot of caring clinicians.
