I had speech disorder also my 3 children but they outgrow it.Was never given a diagnois was told was my tonsils & my sister picked up my speech.My brother told me his grandson also had speech but it disappears why ????I believe it could be genetic. I met a man (in 80's) related I thought his speech was from a stroke but was told he had always had the speech problem.It has nothing to do with intelligence but can be trying more so on small boys as many time are taunted by other Boys.My son when small was fighting quite a bit in school he told me they would tell him you baby talk. When I told teacher the cause of the fighting.Well, I can't be everywhere than I placed him in Catholic School about 4th grade no problems . Good Luck & God Bless.Reva
