I have dfinitetly been there and done that with the lice. The most important thing is diligence. Forget about the incecticide shampoos, you are just exposing your kids to toxins. Wash the hair everyday and use LOTS of conditioner (this makes the hair very slippery) then go through the hair everyday for two weeks with a nit comb and pick the nits. Also make sure hair ties, brushes, etc. are free of nits and wash the bedding and vaccum any where they lay their heads. The most important thing is tedious visual inspection of the hair and removing the nits. If you work hard for 2 weeks you should take care of the problem for good.
