i had my tonsils taken out 7 days ago. on the 5th day i woke up at 4am and became aware of blood running down the back of my throat - i waited 15 minutes and called a friend to drive me to the Emergency ward. i was bleeding and vomitting so much blood (that i had swallowed) that i had to undergo emergency surgery. it's been exactly 48 hours since then and i just woke up again to bleeding but thank god this time it has stopped after 10 minutes. i don't mind the pain - i just hate feeling numb and nauseated from the medication. they only prescribed me Tylenol 3's. i crush them and mix them with pudding. i bought some baby food today too which wasn't half bad. this experience has really surprised me because i thought i was going to go into the hospital, get them taken out, wake up, eat ice-cream and go back to work after a few hours. was i mistaken!!
