Adult tonsilectomy

Hey everyone, Just had my tonsils taken out yesterday(Friday) which was the day after Thanksgiving. Well luckily I didnt read any of these posts because I think I would of been too scared to have it done. My girlfriend kept asking me if I was nervous to get it done and I really wasnt. And this was my first surgery I ever had. My tonsils were remover due to Tonsil Stones which is the build up of bacteria in the crevaces of the tonsil that causes these little white balls to form. Well the balls eventually come flying out of your mouth and it makes your breath horrendous. So needless to say I wanted them out. I should also add that Im 22 for anyone interested in an age comparison. Well today is saturday and its been about 34 hours since I had them removed. Swallowing is definitly hard but I have already managed to eat jello, pudding, ice cream, and an entire box of parmasean(?) noodles. Ive been taking liquid codeine for pain because I cant imagine trying to take pills at this point but the pain is not as bad as I thought. It hasnt even been 2 days and Ive been up and about. My mom keeps telling me to lay down but I feel like I normally do except with a sore throat. I cant talk or anything and if I try to it only make my throat hurt a little more. My doctor also gave me a prescription for vicadin which I will probably go fill in a couple day in case this starts hurting a little more like some of the other poeple have said.
