I have a tonsilectomy scheduled for March 31, 2004. Most of the posts are from people who have suffered infections most of their lives. I'm different: had NO symptoms but went for an annual physical and my doctor found a small cyst on my left tonsil. Went to ENT doctor and he said he could see 2 small cysts, didn't think they looked "abnormal" but suggested I have my tonsils removed just to check them out and to avoid possible future problems such as growth or infection. Does anyone out there have a similar experience? Did anyone end up with cancer? I'm scared of the pain but think I'll be able to deal with it....
