Hi - I've had IBS for a few years and I've never tried any herbs but just wanted to say that it helps if you can pinpoint what your triggers are - it seems to vary from person to person but for me the following seem to often precipate an attack: stress is a big one for me; also foods which are really rich and high in fat don't agree with me either. I also think I may be lactose intolerant so therefore can't tolerate much milk. There are also other times when I can't seem to work out what precipated the bloating etc so it's just trial and error. When the pain gets really bad naprogesic - which is for period pain seems to work quite well but I haven't had much success with the tablets which are sposed to be specifically for IBS. If anyone else has any tips for what works well for them and what foods etc they need to avoid, I would be keen to hear from them. Thanks!!
