I also have IBS but am also lactose intolerant. I take Bentyl when I feel an "blow out" coming on. I helps with the cramps. Before that the cramps would be so bad I would almost pass out. I was told it was something I have to live with. Have they ever considered you might be lactose intolerant with the IBS? Lots of people are and lactose pills do help with milk products. I'm to the point I won't eat before I leave the house and if we go out to eat I come straight home. It's miserable and I know what your going through. I'm 33, married with 3 kids I was diagnosed about 9 years ago. It started after my first child was born. My life is based around this.
