Don't want to alarm you but, please ask your Dr. to do EKG if you haven't had one lately. Approx. 3 yrs ago our 34 yr old daughter was treated for reflux and hiatel hernia also. Wasn't able to take the reflux med. so she was given muscle relaxers and nitro to use under tongue, to stop the spasms. Done this for approx. 1 yr.. She was joking with us at 11:30 p.m. and round 12:00 called us because she was violently throwing up. Got her to E.R. and by 12:55 was told she was having a heart attack. Had an emergency heart cath at 4:00 a.m. and later that day had a quad heart bypass [arteries was from 95% to 99% blocked]. Heart Surgeon said she had to have had several heart attacks by all of the scaring on her heart. Was working 40 hrs at main job and approx 20 hrs part time through all of this. Drs. was amazed she was even able to work part time. Drs. now don't believe she was having reflux or hiatel hernia, but, light heart attacks. It has been two yrs. and she is doing great, no reflux or heart burn since. Back to 60 hr weeks. Hope you find relief from the pain. Good luck.
