I suffer from migraines also, but not nearly as often as I used to. I found Maxalt (pill) treats my migraine the best. If that doesn't work, I will take Fiorinal w/codeine#3. Once when I had severe pain for a whole week with no let up, the doctor told me to take the pain medication on a regular schedule (once every four hours) until the pain was gone. And once I had been on the pain killer for about 24 hours, the pain left. See a headache specialist--if you don't have one, call the national headache foundation for one in your area. Everyone's headache experience is different and we find a way to manage them with what works for us. Treatment must be individualized. Good luck. Lois
