I also have severe migraines. Nothing I did or took would help. My doctor put me on Imitrex capsules first with 10 mgs but that didn't work. He kept increasing the dosage and now I am taking one 100 mg tablet as soon as I feel it start. However, if I wake up in the morning with a full blown migraine, the pills do not work. That is when I take imitrex injections. It's not fun but it works. The only drawback with the injections is that you have to lay down and rest because they are very powerful. You cannot take an injection and go right to work. It takes about 20 - 30 minutes and the pain is completely gone. Ask your doctor about increasing your dosage of the pills and about the injections.
