Hello, I have read your posting for help with your son. If I may, let me ask you at this time before you do anything so drastic as to take this child out of his home and familiar surroundings which very well can be devastating, Have you sought out a Doctor of Internal Medicine who has performed bloodwork and stool samples of your child? AND, Have you sought out a good Dietician? There are many factors that can be the cause of his inability to concentrate! Blood sugar, too high too low can contribute, parasites yes parasitic disease can very well be a contributing factor and the only way to tell is to have him seen by a doctor and examined, along with a stool sample as well as a test they perform with what looks like a piece of tape (film) that is applied to the outer anal area. Either of these two issues do not show up on regular testing! After blood test results seek out a good Dietician/Nutritionist expert! This may be exactly what you are looking for as an answer to your dilemma! You did say you adopted the child at a young age, so its hard to say what his actual family history may have been. If he is in fact having difficulty due to unforseen medical problems and you send him away from home with all his loved ones and familiar surroundings he will not thrive. I also have a child the same age, please check out other avenues before sending him away from you. He may also feel that he is being punished for what he has no control over.
