Didi
I have a herniated disk at c5-6 with spinal cord compression. I've had two neurosurgeon opinions - one says surgery recommended, the other said not necessary and chances are slim of it getting worse. I found that hard to believe as it's worsened over the past 7 yrs. I experience weakness in my arms and numbness in my fingers on both hands. More so when I'm lying down for some reason. Lately I'm complaining of pain in my forearms. It feels sort of like tendonitis or muscle pain with weakness. I'm trying to figure out if this is related to my neck problem, or if it's a secondary problem. Anyone out there who's experienced forearm pain with a disk herniation in the neck area? (Of course on top of all of the other symptoms we all know too well!) Arrangements are being made for a third opinion. Until then, I'd love to hear from someone. Also, this is a work related injury that also caused a disk herniation at L4-5. Anyone out there with a Worker's Compensation claim on disk herniation(s)? My case is quite complicated, but I'd love to chat with someone. Please get BACK to me. I won't think you're a pain in the NECK. Ha Ha!! DD
