I just went to an E/N/T dr., on the advice of my endocrinologist, because the nodules keep getting bigger year after year, and the levoxyl is not shrinking them. They both advised me to have the nodules removed; the ENT said, in reality, half of my thyroid will be removed. There is a possibility they will remove the entire thyroid, but I won't know until they cut me open and check it out...I'm nervous, of course, but I trust their opinions...they said if the nodules keep growing, the chance for cancer will increase. Wish me luck!
