I've been living with epilepsy for the past 25 years of my life, having tried about 10 different pills. What I have found is that I mature, the type of the seizure is changing. They've gone from the tonic-clonic to sometimes just plain confusion. From three in a row to one half-minute one each month, usually while sleeping or when my blood sugar gets lowest (about 6:30 A.M.). I don't think there are many people with epilepsy who can correctly say that they experience only one kind of seizure. And the positive thing to hear is that many of us find they get milder as we get older. Let's just all keep hoping that the long-awaited cure is around the corner!
