I to Have been living with epilepsy a long time. I have had mine since birth I am 29 now.I have tried all meds out there except for the 2 new ones.As I get older my seizures get more strong and intense.By the summer of 98 I had ran out of meds and thaught all hope was lost. I was having 5 to 12 seizures a week and 10 auras a day. I couldnt be left alone more than 5 minutes at a time.I had no life. What brought everything to a draw was when my 5 year old son pulled me from my bath tub from drowning during a seizure.I am a patient at Baptist hospital in Winston Salem N.C. where in july of 98 I got my big break. There my life was changed forever when I was inplanted with the Vagus Nerve Stimulator a device used in treating epilepsy. It has changed my life forever. I have maybe one or no seizures a month and hardly any auras.I stay alone all day. So do to this big change in my life I have dedicated my life to helping others with epilepsy. If u would like info on this let me know and I will help u anyway I can or will mail u a packet. Dont give up hope.
