To Laura: I received bad news from my neurosurgeon:the pain in my neck, arms, shoulders, and thighs is being caused by bulging arthritic discs(he mentioned C-4).In other words, the post cervical laminectomy did not resolve the discs impinging on the nerves. The pain meds(duragesic patch and Valium) are providing a little relief. He wants to perform a anterior diskectomy and remove the offending spurs, and discs.Hopefully, the operation will take the culprits off the spinal cord, and spinal roots. Thanks for your concern, and I hope you are feeling better. PG
