Amen to Len about the thin skin and bruising. I am going into my 5th year of PMR and Prednisone and finally the severe bruising and thin skin left my arms. I used to barely touch something and it would tear an awful place on my forearms. I don't know why it left, but glad that problem is no more. I am so sorry for all of the people who write to this link and are in terrible pain. PLEASE let the prednisone do its work and allow yourself a half way pain free life. I know how much everyone wants to get off the med, but this isn't only "your" disease, but it affects your families, as well. Have a wonderful rest of the summer, and think of me, living in Tucson and it is HOT!
