Hi Joanne, I'm sorry you have such a severe case of PMR! I hope that it goes away for you, even though your doctor doesn't think it will. I've had Polymyalgia for over a year and a half, and I've had several relapses when the Prednisone is tapered to 5 mg. A few months ago, I had a bad setback, and my rheumatologist upped my dose to 15 mg. I'm on 10 mg now, and I'm hoping that the next taper goes smoothly. The worst part of this disease for me is the fatigue. I hope you feel better soon! Mary
