Hi, Unfortunately I know just what you are going through with PMR. I Also started with 20mg. but it took me 11 mos. to get down to 5mg. I believe you are reducing your Prednisone too quickly. My Dr. is doing it very slowly and every time it is reduced I feel the pain about 6 days later. This is not a fun disease. You just have to be patient. I don't know of anything to take the place of Prednisone. I wish I did. We would all be better off. I hope you feel better soon.
