I know about the pain in your feet, I too had this pain, I had cortizone(Depo-Medrol) shots through the sides of my feet into the fascia which hurt like nobody's business. That was about 10 years ago and I haven't had any problems with my feet since. I've had these injections elsewhere in my body and not had the same success unfortunately but I'd certainly recommend this before I tried surgery, if I were you. I wish you the best.
