I had the same problem. The orthopedic doc put supports in my shoes and the only shoes I was allowed to wear were good athletic shoes. Did that for a year. He also had me doing some stretches for my feet. Stand facing a wall. Put your hands on the wall. Put 1 leg back away from the wall in a lunge position with your heel touching the floor. Then raise and lower your heel 5 to 10 times. Repeat with the other leg. I did these every day along with wearing only my athletic shoes every where I went. I no longer have pain, I can wear all my other shoes. Hope you have as good of luck with this as I did. But see an orthopedic doctor first!
