I don't know if my slide to 3mg prednisone was successful or not - have an appt with my rheumatologist next week. After the drop, I felt okay until suddenly I was running a temp of 102 and bp dropping down to 105 and I'm on two bp meds. One med is also a diuretic which means you visit the bathroom a few times a night. I don't understand the blood pressure drop so stopped the meds for a few days. I was completely lethargic - no appetite. On the other hand, it could have been some kind of flu since we have had a very warm January (outside of DC) and the temp fluctuating has had a lot of people ill. I finally took myself back to 4 mg prednisone and most of the aching in the upper arms dissipated. I think you have to play with dosage in a limited way until you feel comfortable. I would think warm water exercising would be wonderful if you have a pool nearby. A few years ago I used to go to a community fitness center for deep water aerobics but found the water was so cold I would be cramping before the session finished. I am really enjoying this link and wish all of you success in your struggles with PMR. Kayva
