Hi Patrick: I was diagnosed with PMR a year ago November. Was on 20mg of prednisone to start, then the last few months down to 5mg. Have had a couple of flare-ups but would take ibuprofen in between. Latest rheumatologist visit has me trying out 4 mg prednisone and 2 celebrex 100mg - one in am and one in pm. Seems to be doing ok. I am now on 2 different bp meds trying to get the bp stabilized. Still have discomfort but not like in the beginning. Got a lecture about taking food with the meds which I was a little lax about doing. My temperature has been sitting around the 97 degree instead of normal but guess that comes with the territory. Haven't had any problems with the prednisone 1mg so far. Am concentrating on thinking good thoughts and being positive. I could have something so much worse. Happy holidays to you. Kayva
