I too have used Boric Acid capsules, made by a compounding pharmacist. They helped but did not cure me. I also would use all kinds of anti-yeast medications and they did not help either. I finally put my foot down and quit taking all the antibiotics from all the doctors who would try to prescribe them to me for sinus infections, gum and teeth problems, etc. Only when absolutely necessary. Also the burning in my vagina would soon return after being on anti-yeast medication. The underlying problem was Strep Group B infection. I finally went to the University of Miami Department of Gynecology to doctors who treated chronic problems. I am finally free of yeast infections and Strep Group b infections. I was prescribed Cleocin (a cream antibiotic) to get rid of the Strep. I then started taking Twin Lab Super Acidopholus by mouth once a day and used it in the vagina every other day. I also started faithfully using a very small amount of my Estrace (estrogen) cream in my vagina and on the outside every other day (about 1/4 tsp). This has solved the problem and I have healed for the first time in my life. The acidopholus can be found in the health store in the fridge. It must be kept dry and refrigerated at home. I found that Twin Lab is the best. Always take a shower first and wash your hands thoroughly before using the above ingredients. I also use an electric blow dryer instead of a towel to dry my crotch every day. That has helped tremendously. It takes discipline and effort to get rid of these infections. Make sure you wash your toilet and toilet seat with a strong disinfectant and also your tub and shower. I put about a cup of bleach in my towels and sheets also when I wash them in warm water.
