You sound as though it is an optional surgery for you. I would not do any major surgery considering possible complications and side effects unless I had an illness making it necessary. If that is the case, and you are content not to have more children then on medical advice you may need to go forward with a hysterectomy. My mother is a uterine cancer survivor. They caught it early and with a hysterectomy they got it all several years ago. Surgery saved her from chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments, both of which would have made her ill. She did well with the surgery and has had no complaints since. She has also been cancer free! Praise the Lord! God be with you in your decision... and by the way... it is YOUR decision and no one else's. :o) Suzanne
