My surgeon was all for removing the uterus and ovaries, with no medical reason except in case of future cancer of the ovaries which is difficult to detect. He was recommending HRT even though I hadn't started menopause. Its important to ask questions and read as much as you can. Energy wise I am feeling much better since my op 12 months ago, but do now seem to have a greater battle with weight gain. Best of luck.
