I'm responding to your herniated discs. I had surgery to my C5,6 and 7 because I was in so much pain. I never tried the injections; but my surgery was a success. I have a metal plate with screws in my neck. It's been five years since my surgery and I'm feeling fine, except sometimes my upper back is achy; but not nearly as bad as the pain I had before surgery. Good luck to you whatever you decide to do.
