Hi, my mother also has a herniated disk. I think it is L5. My mother has been through therapy and the epidural shots. The epidural shots seem to be a temporary fix. My mother is now bed ridden because she has severe pain in her knee and her entire leg. She seems worse after the epidural shots. The doctor wants to try another shot. He does not feel that surgery will help her. Have you thought about surgery?
