i have had RSD for two years and last may elected to have a SCS implanted. i could not tolerate it! i have RSD in my right hand, arm & shoulder. it did give a somewhat pleasant sensation in my hand but it did nothing for my shoulder. i felt like i had a knife in my back! later, in june, my doctor administered 3 botox injections into my shoulder. i have found this to be the most effective treatment. i have had 25+ gangleon stellate blocks, 2 bretylium blocks and numerous trigger point injections. you just have to keep trying different meds & blocks. hope this was helpful to you. be sure to ask about the botox. all my good wishes go with you!
