I just read your message about your mother, and Methotrextate. I was on it for 15 years. I stopped it the end of February this year. I also took Embrel a newer RA Drug. I stopped both because I was having a very serious breathing problem. I went to my doctor and finally ended up in the hospital for 9 days. I have Pulmonary Fibrosis. I am on oxygen all the time. I am 53. I can no longer do things. I require wheel chair as I cannot walk without breathing difficulty. I DO BELIEVE it is the methotrextate that has caused my lung problems. I had pulmonary function test in 1998 and my doctor going back over my records said he dropped the ball and he was sorry, he didn't catch the beginings of this then!
