My mother has taken Methatrexate for about six months for her rheumatoid arthritis. She is currently in the ICU with multiple major organ failure. Her decline has been very rapid (less than 4 weeks) Her physicians attribute most of her problems to Methatrexate. I strongly discourage anyone's use of this drug, the side affects are too devastating. Glucosamine with Chondrotin has no side affects and may be just as positively effective.
