I also was denied health insurance because of my medical history. What I have now is not insurance, but it cuts my medical expenses and the best part -- it's LOTS cheaper than insurance. That way you can save money you would have used for insurance in the event you need it. I am a member of Ageless Care, a medical buying program. There are probably similar programs offered by other groups, but I am not familiar with them. There is no qualifying and there are no exclusions based on pre-existing conditions. I bought the plan through Costco buying club, but it probably is available independently also. Discounts are available for doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, labs, dentists, eye care and even nursing homes. I signed up my whole family and we already made back the whole year's cost in discounts.
