Dear Anne, I felt your pain my friend. As I sit here replying to your letter, I am recovering fron an anterior cervical disc removal, W/iliac fusion (bone graft from the hip). I had a very large HNP on C6-7, which was hard and pressing into my spinal cord. (I had 5 HNPs in all, my lumbar was operated on in Sept. of 1999. The minute I woke up from surgery this time, the burning pain was totally gone...I couldn`t believe it. I also had the nerve blocks...the worst part was the hip graft. Once the pressure is taken off of the spinal cord...you feel instant relief. Feel free to e-mail me if you want...my surgery was just on May 3 rd by the way.
