Hi!! I have been living with cervical herniations for 10 years. I originally had the same discs as you. Now I only have an "immense herniation at c5 - c6". That's according to my neurosurgeon. He has also said that my herniation is the worst he has ever seen. My surgery is scheduled in Sept. I am not looking forward to it at all. I have the best surgeon around and still it's bothering me. They are planning on fusing with bone and an "H" shaped titanium piece. I'm going for the cadaver bone. I can't afford to screw up anymore of my spine. I used to go to pain mgmt. every two weeks for five years. I would have 15 trigger point injections, occipital nerve blocks, Sacroiliac joint injections plus an epidural. YUCK. Also, no long term relief for me because of the disc being so bad. I'm currently on major meds. with a few other meds. because I also have the Epstein Barr Virus, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and panic / anxiety disorder. I did notice that further down in this forum that they had some info. on financial help for people w/ cervical problems. Maybe that could help you. I'm sorry that I can't help you more, but I just wanted you to know that you are not alone. I completely understand the pain and how hard it is to deal with this. You are not alone. Please write anytime. Even if you just need to vent. email: SKlein310@aol.com. Good luck to you. I will send positive thoughts your way. Sonia
