Hi, I was diagnosed six years ago with dystonia. At first they said it was torticollis but since then I have exhibited many more symptoms in just about every muscle in my body. I even have my scalp "crawl" at times. I am not on any medication at present. The last neurologist I saw also diagnosed me with mitochondrial myopothy. He said that this disease causes dystonia and the treatment can be as simple as vitamins. The only problem is knowing which vitamins and in what mega doses are needed. I draw SS disability and medicare does not pay for the dna or muscle biopsy needed for accurate diagnosis. There is nothing more that can be done that I know of. I would appreciate finding out if anything you take helps.
