Hi Pearl, I have dystonia in my right hand and receive Botox every 3 months. They inject it into my forearm. It does weaken my arm and hand, sometimes to the point where I can't even open a car door or kitchen drawer. It's at it's peak at about 6 wks. and then recedes in strength for the next 6 weeks. Although it does help relax the cramping and makes me much more comfortable, I'd have to say that if I had the same degree of weakness from having it injected in my leg, it might make walking difficult. If you're in pain, it might be worth the relief, but my opinion is you'd probably have to use a cane. Sorry I can't give more positive input! Good luck!
