So sorry to hear you are suffering. My brother & I both have ms. I came across a book called 'My Fight Against MS' by Roger McDougall in which he tells about how, from being bedridden, he worked out a dietary regime which gradually healed his symptoms. Basically, he omitted gluten (ie: wheat, rye, barley, oats), sugar in all its forms, all dairy products and meat. I follow this regime and am 99% symptom free - my brother on the other hand eats an atrocious diet of meat, sweets, chocolates, cakes, dairy, wheat foods and is incapacitated & bedridden. The very simple theory McDougall bases his routine upon stemmed from thinking that feeding a cow meat would kill it as would feeding grass to a lion. He felt the above foods were alien to the original human diet and that some people cannot now tolerate them - a sort of chronic intolerance response is triggered in all the varying sympmtoms ms takes - makes huge sense to me - please try it - for several months at first to note any significant improvements. If I ever stray from the diet, I quickly induce weakness to the point where I hobble when walking, numbness in limbs where I can no longer feel them, and have once had distorted eyesight. All symtoms disappear when on the diet. Pls contact me for further info on diets etc.
