Multiple Sclerosis and Depression

My ex husband had a very mild case of MS over our marriage of 37 years. I think it's normal to feel depressed because your condition is a real bummer. After all these years, what I found was how irrational he had become and no family member would try to help him see the error of his ways.He slept alot when he was young and I think what helped him was the excellent care that I gave him in the way of nutrition and compassion. It's a long haul, but try to surround yourself with young people who understand and try to keep up with exercising when you can. The first sign of MS, which in the 1950's was not known, was the double vision. He was treated by an eye doctor that said something is seriously wrong here but in the meantime he advised mega doses of Vitamin B {cobalimine?} the double vision disappeard reasonably soon, until the other "stuff" came along at different intervales. My exhusband never took anything but mega doses of vitimins, but I 'm sure he was lucky that it was a mild type. I hope you have a supportive significant other in your corner, but don't push her away little by little. All the consideration in my family went to him and oddly my life was saved by him divorcing me for a younger woman.
