I'm now 50, had had cystic breast for years with lots of pain, I've been taking Vitamin E for years, cut down on caffeine. (it might have helped some - I really can't tell. Just last week had my right breast drained for the first time, so far so good no pain at all. The left breast showed what they thought were calcifications, went thru a needle loc biopsy. Had no Idea what to expect. thank God everything came out fine. However I didn't realize that this was a regular surgical procedure I'm home right now recuperating from it. My thoughts are what now? Is this something I will have to go thru again? I found the biospy process horrible and much more invasive than I thought it would be. When they said needle biopsy that is what I thought it would be, I didn't know the needle was just to locate the area and surgery was next. Does anyone out there have any info on these "calcifications" what they're from? Should I expect this to go on forever with future mammograms? Any information will be appreciated. Thanks
