Unfortunately like all of you I can only find more questions and so few answers. I am 30 years old and have spent the last 5 years trying to get enough information on this condition. I recently had 7 fibroadenomas removed surgically. I am at high risk for breast cancer for many reasons including having my mother die in her late 30s from breast cancer. I do not have any pain with my lumps; however, since fibroadenomas are solid masses there are is no real way to determine that they are not cancerous without a biopsy. I just had my annual maammogram and ultrasound and now they have found another just 8 months later. The radiologist says he has never seen a case where they developed so quickly. So once again I will need another biopsy. The cycle just continues and there doesn't appear to be an end in site. I feel the only thing I can do is find a way to deal with the stress and anxiety year after year. I often wonder how many surgical biopsies is too many? If you have any information, please post. Best of luck to all of you.
