hello, I also have fibromyalgia... Did the Dr.s give your son anything to help him to sleep better? A sleep disorder is also part of fibro.. not being able to go down into REM sleep..(this is where muscles rest.. restorative sleep) Usually they start with Flexeril..10mg. or the generic.. cyclobenzoprine.. they are a mild muscle relaxer. It usually helps most people especially in the beginning.. I've taken it for about 3 yrs...one before an hour or two before bed time... and i do better. One thing I have found that seems to help me some with the chronic fatigue also... and it's cheap.. I go to Walmart and buy the Super B Complex vitamen... only cost about $3.47 so it's cheap.. it's a mega B vitamen..all the B's I take one with breakfast..One with dinner. I personally started taking it because of the recent studies showing B helps with nerve regeneration.. (as in neuropathy)... a ruptured disc left me with some neuropathy in my foot, nerve damage due to disc..sciatic nerve) It works too... as long as you keep taking it and take it regular..\ It was unexpected that it helped some with the horrible fatigue... but I did notice a difference~ worth a try..
