Regarding your ovarian pain; this is most likely endometriosis. I had this same sharp pain in my lower pelvis and too had trouble walking. This was finally diagnosed after many months as endometrosis. Endometriosis is a very common pelivic disorder that involves the uterine lining from your menses going up into your pelvis and attaching itself to your pelvic organs such as ovaries, uterus, cul de sac, bladder, etc. The pain was severe with my menses and soon became "everyday pain" with trouble walking and sometimes violent pain that sent me to the ER. You need to find a good gynecologist and ask for a pelvic ultrasound. The ultrasound will likely show cysts on your ovaries; this is the endometriosis taking over your ovaries like a kleenex that is rolled into a ball. Sometimes these cysts gather old blood that didn't come out completely with your menses and this becomes what is called a "chocolate cyst." These cysts take on a life of their own and sometimes you will have dark chocolate like bleeding just at the beginning of your cycle or in between cycles. You should contact the Endometriosis Association in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They have the best information on this disease and can send you information about recommended doctors in your area. Don't settle for a doctor that doesn't know anything about endometriosis; it is very important that you find one that understands this disease. Treatment consists of medicines like Danazol (this is an older medicine but helped me tremendously. Do not try Lupron as this has severe side effects that can be worse than endo! Sometimes surgery of the cysts can be helpful but don't sign up for surgery until you exhaust all your options such as Danazol. By all means do not let anyone suggest hysterectomy as endometrosis can be treated. I know because I had battle with it and am now 54 and in menopause. Good luck and do look up the Endometriosis Association and arm yourself with information before you see the doctors.
