at the same age, i had cervical dysplasia and had laser surgery. i have had a child. it did not effect my pregnancy -- it did make the initial stages of labor more difficult due to scarring on my cervix. all in all, though, not that big of a deal for me. i have heard of some people having an incompetent cervix due to previous surgery. this, if not caught, would effect carrying the baby, as i understand it. a good ob/gyn should be knowledgeable on these issues, as cervical dysplasia is very common (at least i have heard of alot of other people having it). make sure he/she also educates you on hpv and how to prevent recurrence of dysplasia, if this applies to you/you have a diagnosis of hpv.
